Puukko
The Scandinavian staple, the Puukko. Traditionally made from birch and other local hardwoods, these blades vary in shape size and design considerably. With a hidden tang that is often either bonded in or “peened” at the pommel, the feel and shape of the handle is smooth and round. The Puukko’s that I have designed are a more modern, more American design. Having fit a simple drop point edge and slightly wider than traditional width, this blade has many similarities to traditions, but is simply American.
